Date Sensitive Rates in Replacement Interface

What we’re doing:

We have added functionality for the replacement costing and interface processes to use the rate found on the applicable salary grid in payroll for the effective date.

Why we think you’ll like it:

Pay rate increases are not always planned to fall in line with a pay period. A casual custodian might work on June 30, 2020 and on July 1, 2020. The grid for a casual custodian is $25/hour as of July 1, 2019 and $26/hour as of July 1, 2020. Prior to this enhancement, the system would use whatever rate was active, resulting in manual rate adjustments on selected dispatches. With this enhancement, the system will be able to determine which rate to use by referring to the grid effective dates.

Due to the nature of this enhancement (payroll), it is recommended that a support request is submitted to review the setup with you.

This is set up through Atrieve HR in the Dispatch Search Parameter Profile, Page 1, Field “Day Pay Default” and adding the keyword “GRD” to the end of the existing profile field. This new keyword will ensure that the system will use the rate attached to the associated matched grid, by date. For example, if the field specifies “MFR” with the “GRD” keyword, the system will use the rate attached to the employee’s dispatch position code grid, by date.

The GRD keyword functions with every day pay default code with the exception of the hard-coded rate option.

Grid effective dates can be updated though Atrieve Payroll > Generate Payroll > Payroll Data Entry > Daily Time Entry > Daily Time Entry Profile (the use of the Daily Time Entry module is not required).
