Pay Transparency Reporting

What we’re doing:

Added a report in Atrieve Payroll to provide data for the BC Pay Transparency Report, required by the BC Government.

Why we think you’ll like it:

School districts in British Columbia will appreciate the new pay transparency report feature for its ability to streamline compliance with the latest government regulations. By automatically processing payroll data to generate the required statistics, this feature not only saves time but also ensures accuracy and consistency in reporting. The feature’s integration into existing payroll system means that districts can adopt it with minimal disruption, making it a convenient and efficient solution for meeting legal obligations and promoting fair pay practices. Districts in BC can now effortlessly fulfill the government’s mandate, reinforcing their position as responsible and progressive workplaces.

Even in provinces where pay transparency reporting is not mandated by law, school districts can still reap significant benefits from this feature. It allows districts to proactively address pay equity issues, fostering a culture of fairness and inclusivity. By voluntarily adopting such practices, school districts can enhance their reputation as equitable employers, which can be a powerful tool for attracting and retaining top talent. Districts across all provinces can use this feature to demonstrate their commitment to equality and social responsibility.

Learn more:

From Atrieve Payroll, navigate to Payroll Maintenance > Payroll Year End > Pay Transparency Report. Enter the NAICS Code, then the pay code table will open. The pay code table allows users to define, per pay ID, period ranges to include, pay codes to exclude for regular pay, paycodes to include for overtime, and pay codes to include for bonus pay. Users can save their report defaults in order to save time and run the report in future with more accuracy.

The report draws from the identified gender field in payroll. If the field is blank, the employee will be considered as code of U, or “unspecified”.

Per requirements, if less than ten employees identify with a specific gender, it will not be included in the statistics, but will be included in the raw data.

Late functionality offered by the BC Government included of submitting raw data was made available to employers. Because of this, the report will also include raw data if any districts wish to use this option.

The excel output contains the statistics and raw data. The PDF include calculations per employee to confirm accuracy.
