Insights - Quick Links Power Tile

With the new Quick Links Power Tile your favorite menu items display directly on the Insights landing page as soon as you sign into the Portal, reducing the click-path and providing immediate visibility to your quick linked pages.

The pre-existing Quick Links functionality is not changing, you may still access and modify your favorite pages by clicking the Home menu link.

Note that whether changes to quick links are made through the new Insights Power Tile or through the existing functionality in the Home page menu, the changes are synched so that both the Power Tile and the Home menu sub-menu’s display the same values.

Steps to modify and use the Quick Links tile:

1. If Quick Links have not been previously defined the tile will be blank

2. Click the Edit pencil located at the top right corner of the tile

3. Click the Menu dropdown

4. Search through the list of menus and select the one that you want to work with

5. Once a menu is selected, the available sub-menus will display in the Available box

6. Click to highlight the menu link(s) to move to the Selected box (use ctrl+click to select multiple rows at one time)

7. Click the right arrow button to move values from the Available box to the Selected box

8. To change the order that the links display, click on a page link in the Selected box and then click the Up or Down arrow button to reorder the list

9. Repeat steps 2-6 to add more menu quick links

10. Once complete , click Save and the popup widow will close and the Quick Links tile will be updated

11. To remove quick links, follow the same steps above but select values in the Selected box and click the left arrow button to move back to Available. Click Save to save changes and return to the Insights landing page.

12. Once you are returned to the landing page, you can select a link from Quick Links Power Tile and you will be redirected to the selected page.

Additional Notes

All menu links display in the Available box.  If you select and save a menu link to a page that you do not have permission to access, you will receive a permission denied message when you try to navigate to that page from the Power Tile.
