Decimal Display in Exported Files
When opening exported files (such as pension files) in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel), you may notice that the number of visible decimal places appears reduced or rounded.
This is due to the software’s automatic formatting, which can change how numeric values are displayed. The underlying data in the file remains accurate and includes the full expected precision.
To verify the exact values:
-
Open the file in a text editor (e.g., Notepad), or
-
Import the file into your spreadsheet software and explicitly set the column format (e.g., Text or a custom number format)
Note: This is a display issue only and does not indicate a problem with the file output.
