Web Portal

New functionality has been added to enable you to display custom (user-definable) text on the main portal login page (by default, no text will display).  To add text to the login page navigate to Tools > Security & Setup > Profile Maintenance-Tabbed, or User Profile Maint-Tabbed. 

Under the ALL tab locate the text field 'Notification message on Portal login page'.  You may enter straight text into this field but also note that this field accepts HTML markup to control style, layout, etc.  

For more information about commonly used HTML tags, and their correct syntax/usage, refer to documentation located in the PowerSchool Community.

New ability to define Location Specific eForms. The system has been modified to control the users navigation path to certain location based forms. An example of use would be those location based forms being implemented for COVID-19 tracking.

In order to distinguish between Employee and Location specific eForms a new menu category and sub-menu items have been added to Menu Builder.  The new category is  called 'Site Based eForms' and this category includes 10 customizable sub-menu items,  Location eForm 01 to Location eForm 10, allowing for more control over who has access to which forms.

To access the new Site Based Forms, you would need to go into Menu Builder and add the appropriate menu item(s) to a Role. Users tied to the menu builder role will then see the menu item added to their Left Navigation menu.

The new menu category and sub-menu items are located using the following path HR > Documents & eForms > Site Based Forms

Improvements to Fixed Assets Program

Summary of changes:

Main screen:

  • prompts have been moved into a single vertical column

  • allow click on any field (or arrow keys) to go into modify mode to make changes 

  • allow click on first field. previously displayed 'You Are Not Permitted To Click On This Field'

  • new 'Locations' tab added to access Asset Location assignments, clicking moves to Locations page

  • new 'Locations' button added to access location details, clicking moves to Locations page

  • 'Add' mode goes directly to Location entry after entry of "Description"

  • 'Modify' button removed

  • confusing 'Continue' and 'Next' buttons during asset entry and changes have been removed

  • buttons in page footer can be clicked even when changing a value on the Asset page

  • lookup icons are displayed at all times, not just when text field has focus. icons are hidden in Inquiry/Delete modes.

  • Asset lookup modified to display with paging instead of scraping all pages into a scroll-able lookup.

Locations screen (NEW)

  • new 'Locations' tab has been added

  • clicking the 'Asset Details' tab returns to the main screen

  • grid contains Asset Location assignment details

  • In Add/Change mode, 'Edit', 'Insert', 'Delete' buttons are displayed next to each location 

  • In Inquiry mode, grid edit buttons are hidden

  • In Delete mode, this page is not visible

  • In Add/Change mode, the 'Cancel' and 'Save' buttons are visible at all times and can be clicked during location entry

Extended screen

  • In Add/Change mode, 'Cancel' and 'Save' buttons are always visible. (previously only visible after all fields were entered)

  • In Add/Change mode, hide 'Modify' button when Modify is activated

Finance screen

  • In Add/Change mode, allow click on any field, allow keyboard up/down navigation

  • In Add/Change mode, display 'Cancel' and 'Save' buttons, remove 'Next' button

  • In Inquiry mode, display 'Next' button, remove 'Cancel' and 'Save' buttons
