Compliance updates to T4 and T4A
What we’re doing:
We updated additional pages on the web portal to display an employee’s preferred name in lieu of their legal first name
Why we think you’ll like it:

Changed file encoding: The encoding of T4 and T4A XML files has been changed from UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1.

Removed underscores: Underscores have been removed from the Submission Reference ID field.

Elimination of manual file adjustments: Changing the file encoding to ISO-8859-1 eliminates the need for manual fixes when files contain French characters, such as in employee names.
