Display of Preferred Name - Additional Areas
Completed
Display of preferred name - additional areas
What we’re doing:
We updated additional pages on the web portal to display an employee’s preferred name in lieu of their legal first name
Why we think you’ll like it:
Atrieve recognizes that school district employees may use first names other than their legal first name to identify themselves. Replacing an employee’s name with their preferred name fosters inclusivity and a more positive workplace culture.
Learn more:
Requires Vortex 2.9.8.74 (some on-prem district do not have this).
Activate preferred name in the areas below by going to Tools > Security & Setup > User Profile Maint - Tabbed > ALL. Set field “display preferred name” to Y.
The preferred name field is found in Atrieve Web > HR > HR Demographics > Employee Add/Change/Inquiry. The intention of the preferred name field was always to hold a preferred first name, not a full name.
The following pages have been updated to display an employee’s preferred name in lieu of their first name if it exists on the HR Demographics screen:
Administrator Employee Selection pages (the table that displays employees at a location when choosing to perform an action on behalf of someone else)
My Info > Phone & Email > Change Telephone
Workboard: My Info > Time & Attendance > Dispatch & Workboard > Workboard. After selecting the location, there are two tables of employees: the first are employees assigned to that location (this had been covered previously), the second table is all TOC and Casual employees. This second table is now updated to use preferred name.
Timesheet Entry: My Info > Time & Attendance > Enter Time
Schedule Entry:
HR > Manage Staff > Schedule Entry > Enter Schedule
HR > Manage Staff > Schedule Entry > Schedule Entry - Location. Previously showed preferred name in assigned employees table, but not in the header of the page once the employee was selected.
HR > Manage Staff > Schedule Entry > Schedule Entry - District. Added preferred name to employee search and the header of the page once the employee is selected.
