Portal Authentication Audit

Completed

Portal Authentication Audit.

What we’re doing:

A new page has been created to display audit details for portal authentication.

Why we think you’ll like it:

Customers (or their auditors) have requested that we provide access to audit information for different events, such as logging in, impersonation and login failures. The new Portal Authentication Audit page provides information such as the time the user attempted to login, if it was successful or failed and includes details such as the user name, ID and time of the event. In addition, you can control the number of days to retain audit records; the default is 365 days but can be adjusted according to your district’s policies.

Learn more:

Access to the new Portal Authentication Page can be granted in Menu Builder. Select a menu Role to add the menu item to, then click on Modify. You can then locate the new menu item under Tools > Security & Setup. Move the menu item from the Available list to Selected and then click Save. Note that the user will see the new menu item once they have re-authenticated (i.e. once they log out and then back in)
