Additional Field Types
Formula Fields – This is a place holder - there are no built-in formulas. You will build the formulas using provided tools
Literal Text – If there is something you require on the report to show on every record, but isn't necessarily something you can pull from the system, you can add in a literal text field and type in exactly what it is that you want displayed on the report. Literal text fields can also be used as "spacers".
Literal Number – these are generally used in conjunction with the formulas. For example, to project what a 2% increase in pay will look like, the annual salary x this literal number.
Evaluated Fields – These are your query statements, to put that another way, your "if" statements. A good example might be...reporting for pension – show me all of the employees, but only if they are over 55 and if they are female. So if it's this, then put them in this field. If they are not that, then do not pull their information.
