Workstations Requirements

Operating System: Windows 10
Processor: dual-core
Memory: 8+ GB
Browsers supported: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari

District Firewall Configuration

For the majority of functions, the atrieve software does not require a high bandwidth connection. It is sensitive to;

  1. network latency

  2. switch buffering

  3. the time it takes for the workstation to be permitted a connection to the hosted server.

All network traffic should flow freely and directly between your end-user workstations and the hosted server specified above without ANY interference from proxy servers, virus and malware scanners, or firewalls. In particular, firewall application controls should be disabled for all traffic to and from the host IP.

Inbound: All traffic initiated by the atrieve hosted solution will come from IP: 64.46.34.192/26. There are two types of connections initiated by the host, and both are optional based on your desired configuration:

  • LDAPS: If your district has elected to use secure LDAPS for user authentication then your firewall must permit inbound connections to your LDAP server from the host on port 636.

Email Servers

Email from atrieveERP will originate from two places depending on the function:

  • service ticket and PowerSchool staff email, including service bulletins, system notifications, and person to person communications will originate from ylw-mailout.atrieveerp.com

    • PowerSchool requires the addition of 64.46.34.192/26 to your district mail server spam filter whitelist. This will confirm communications from our staff via our ticketing system do not end up in junk folders or dropped by spam filters.

  • Hosted Applications Emails: Email from your hosted applications including pay statements, EFT payment notifications, and communications back to the HR or Payroll department originating from web applications, will originate from ylw-mailout.atrieveerp.com (64.46.34.192/26)

In order to prevent emails from being bounced by your email server or caught in spam filters, whitelist email from atrieveERP.com.

Certain applications involving workflows and approvals require the email sender to be real email addresses at your district. If you are setting up those products, additional information will be provided on how to enable the atrieve hosts to send emails on behalf of your domain without being tagged as spam.

Transport Layer Security (TLS) from these servers to your district web servers is supported and is turned on by default. In the event that staff are not receiving emails that are generated from within the software, ensure that TLS is enabled on your email server.  If required, we will arrange a test to confirm TLS is functioning properly.
