Language Code Database Maintenance

Language Codes are used as short form of entries where languages spoken information is required. These codes are optional on the Employee Master Screen and are required on the Employee Next of Kin forms. The codes can be used for general descriptions such as French, English etc. or for more specific descriptions where specific dialects are required.

Language Code

• Enter a 2 character alphanumeric code. This code will be used to describe an employee's primary and secondary languages.

  • EN - English

  • FR - French

  • WE - Welsh

Description

• Enter up to 30 characters of text. Where possible make the first 20 characters the main descriptive text. In some functions, this text may be truncated for display purposes.
