Dispatch Source Code Database Maintenance

The Dispatch Source Code is used on the Absence/Dispatch screen for the replacement employee. The source code can represent why the substitute was chosen (e.g. Requested by teacher, Requested by board office, etc.). In addition, this code can also direct the payroll as to how this dispatch should be paid.


Dispatch Source Code

  • Enter up to 4 alphanumeric characters for the dispatch source code. 

Description

  • Enter up to 30 characters to describe the dispatch source code.

Interface

  • Enter 'Y' if dispatches with this source code are to be interfaced with payroll.

  • Enter 'N' if dispatches with this source code are not to be interfaced with payroll.

Number of Consecutive Days

  • Enter the number of consecutive days that each dispatch with this source code must be. Entering a non-zero value in this field will override the system calculated number of consecutive days.

Extra Time

P

Dispatches will be paid for the overtime (if required)

B

Dispatches will be allowed to bank the overtime

N

Dispatches will not be paid for the overtime

C

A separate dispatch must be created for the overtime


Extra Time Pay Code

  • Enter a valid pay code to be used by payroll to pay for the extra time for this dispatch. Extra time will be calculated based on the difference between the employee's scheduled hours and the Hours per Day field on the dispatch Postition Code. Additional hours worked will be paid as overtime, if applicable. 

1st Over Time Pay Code

  • Enter a valid pay code to be used by payroll to pay for the first overtime for this dispatch.

2nd Over Time Pay Code

  • Enter a valid pay code to be used by payroll to pay for the second overtime for this dispatch.

Over Time Hours

  • Enter the maximum number of overtime hours allowed for the first Over Time level on this dispatch . After this, any additional hours will be paid per the instructions for 2nd Over Time, if applicable. 

Soft Deleted

  • Enter 'S' to soft delete the dispatch source code. Soft-deleted dispatch source codes will not appear on the dispatch record as an option for Source.
