Degree Major/Minor Code Database Maintenance

The Degree Major/Minor Codes are used to define major and minor subjects for use with certification entry. The use of codes will allow for reporting of employees with majors or minors in a specific subject area and level of their expertise. 

Major/Minor Code

• Enter up to 10 alphanumeric characters to identify a major/minor subject. When entering these codes you should attempt to be as specific as possible. 

Description

• Enter up to 30 characters of descriptive text. Where possible make the first 20 characters the main descriptive text. In some functions, the description field may need to be shortened for display purposes.
