Position Type Code Database Maintenance

The Position Type Codes are used to group positions of a similar type. Each position you create must have a position type code on it, so these codes must be set up prior to setting up positions. How you want to group positions and what position type codes you want to use is entirely up to you. You could possibly break positions into groups based on the types of employees that could be assigned to them. The Position Database Report is currently the only report in the system that lets you select by position type code. Possible position type codes could include:
