Disability Code Database Maintenance

The Disability Codes are used to describe employee disabilities and are optional. The codes are designed to give a general idea of an employee's disability and not specific details. For example, use of a code for vision impairment would only indicate that the employee has a vision problem, specific details would have to be checked in the employee's paper file.

Disability Code

• Enter a 2 character disability code. This code will be used to identify employees with disabilities.

• For example:

  • WC - Wheelchair

  • HI - Hearing Impaired

  • VI - Vision Impaired

Description

• Enter up to 30 characters of descriptive text for the disability code.
