Experience Year Database Maintenance

The Experience Year screen lets you define when the school year starts and ends. This information is used in the Employee Experience Report to more accurately calculate employee's experience. The entry of this information allows this report to exclude time during summer holidays for assignments that start and/or end during the summer. This information also enables the correct reporting of assignments that start and end on the first and last days of the year respectively. For example if the 1999 school year starts September 7th 1999 and ends on June 23rd 2000 and an employee has an assignment starting and ending on the same dates, the experience report without this year information would report experience of .95 (two weeks less than a full year). With the experience year information filled in, the report will correctly report experience of 1.0.

This screen lets you define different start and end dates for different types of locations to accommodate situations where elementary and secondary schools may have different start and end dates for the school year.
