The Years Of Service Report (2106)allows you to produce years of service reports for all employees or a selected employee within a specified date range using this criteria: employee category, assignment types and assignment codes to produce reports sorted alphabetically by employee name, by employee number, by employees' current location and years of service.
This report was created and customized for a specific district to calculate their Years of Service as follows:
-
A school year is from September to August
-
It will recognize both continuing and temporary contracts
-
Employment that commences up to and including February 28 shall be credited as one year of service. A minimum of 90 calendar days have to be worked within this period.
-
Employment that commences after February 28 shall be credited as one-half year of service. A minimum of 90 calendar days have to be worked within this period.
-
Continuing employment during a school year, from approximately September 1 to August 31, shall be credited as one year of service.
-
Continuing part-time employees shall be considered "full-time" for the purpose of calculating years of service.
-
Employment under approved exchange programs, sabbaticals, Department of National Defense service and secondment leave, will be included when calculating years of service.
-
Unpaid leaves that exceed 6 months, such as maternity leave, personal leave-of-absence, and extended periods on long term disability, will not be included when calculating years of service. If the Maternity Leave is over two school years, they may get extra credit for experience in either year based on time worked.
