Employee schedules present accurate attendance hours during the absence logging process, resulting in correct dispatching hours of replacement staff. Hours/FTE need to be precise as they will subsequently be interfaced with Payroll to pay replacements and deduct entitlement banks. For districts utilizing the schedule timesheet interface process, accurate schedules are necessary to result in correct pay which is based on the timesheet created from the schedule.
The search for replacement employees in automated dispatching may refer to schedules when determining who last replaced the absent employee.
Some districts are required to pay replacement employees at a higher rate if they work for a set number of consecutive days. The payroll system automatically verifies the consecutive nature of the replacement’s working time with the absent employee’s schedule.
