Assignment History Update Process

The Assignment History Update Process reads the assignment file and marks assignments as historical, current or future. When the assignment(s) are displayed in a window, they will be marked as 'H' if they are historical assignment(s), 'F' if they are future assignment(s) and the column left blank if they are current assignment(s)

An assignment is considered historical if the end date of the assignment is prior to the current date. A future assignment has the start date after the current date. An assignment is current if its   start date is prior to or same as the current date and its end date is after the current date or blank.

It is recommended that this process be submitted nightly in your batch queue. If this process is run from the menu, it will run on-line to the screen and tie up the system until it finishes.
