The Assignment Change/Timestamp Report will list all changes made in the HR assignment system that are relevant to payroll. These fields include assignment start and end date, position, assignment type, location(s) and location hours/FTE.
The report lets you select assignments based on a date range, timestamp range, and employee category. The date and timestamp selection works as follows:
-
Any assignments that start or end within the specified date range are selected.
-
Any new assignments entered into the system within the timestamp range will be selected as long as the assignment start date is on or before the end date specified.
-
Any assignments where any of the above fields that have been changed within the timestamp range will be selected as long as the assignment start date is on or before the end date specified.
-
Any assignments that are deleted within the timestamp range will be selected.
-
Additionally, any employee who has a termination date within the specified date range will be selected.
This selection process ensures that all changes relevant to a payroll pay period are identified. Normally the start and end date will be the same as the dates of the payroll pay period you are currently working with. The timestamp range should cover the time period of the prior and current pay periods. This will allow you to select any changes that take effect in the current period as well as any keying changes that have been done during the last pay period.
The report is in two sections:
-
Old Assignments - Assignments that are current between September and the day before the start date specified will be displayed under old assignment section
-
New Assignments - Assignments that are current between the start and end date range will appear under the new assignment section.
The report will display the following: Employee name and number, assignment status, position, location(s), assignment type, hours/FTE, start and end dates, replacement employee, comments and reason.
The reason field (one of the following) will indicate why the employee shows on the report.
