Warehouse Inventory System - Overview
The Warehouse Inventory System is a full function warehousing system that forms part of atrieveERP's materials management system. This system, when taken in conjunction with the automated tendering system and the purchase order management system, forms a strong materials management system base. All of these systems are tightly integrated with atrieveFinance and, when activated, become intertwined with the menu structure and programs of atrieveFinance.
The warehouse inventory system can be run as a separate component without the acquisition of either automated tendering system or purchase order management.
The warehouse inventory system is a full-function system which provides the facilities for the routine items required to operate a warehouse, including the maintenance and reporting on stock files, data entry for receipts, issues, stock adjustments, user requisitions, either locally within the warehouse operation, or remotely from user locations. This system contains the capabilities to provide the staff with the routine functions necessary, such as product inquiries, production of picking slips, packing slips, various reports and inquiries that support these warehouse functions. The warehouse inventory system includes inventory functions for a multitude of stock reports required such as stock status, re-order reports, back order status and a complete physical count component to control inventory while counting and the ability to count in sections. The warehouse inventory system includes an extensive set of user controlled databases which tailor to each specific customer's needs. These databases include such items as customers likely to buy from the warehouse, the delivery routes the customers are attached to, the stock accounts in the general ledger that are to be used for purchases, adjustments and issues. This system incorporates a number of audit and utility functions to establish statistics for periods and for the year to provide usage figures available through inquiry and for analysis of stock utilization.
The warehouse inventory system from atrieveERP is a fully interactive system utilizing a mixture of interactive and batch processes. The batch processes are limited to those that are high volume, routine processing requirements. All inquiry and data entry is completely interactive, providing for excellent error checking, budget control and integrity of the customer's financial system.
