The Absence Scattergram gives you a quick way of tracking absence abuse. Employees can be selected based on the day of the week they are frequently absent. Employees who are absent on Fridays and Mondays for example are easily pinpointed with this report. The report will show one line for each employee with their total daily absences under each day of the week.
Detail Date
-
Enter the start and end absence detail dates in (YY)YYMMDD format to include. This selects any absence taking place within and including the dates specified. To report on absences for just one day, specify the same date in both the from and to fields. Press <Enter> to accept the default detail date range to select all absences.
Start Date
-
Enter the start and end date range for the absence start date in (YY)YYMMDD format. This selects absences with a start date on or within the specified date range. Press <Enter> to accept the default for start date range to select all absences.
End Date
-
Enter the start and end date range for the absence end dates in (YY)YYMMDD format. This selects absences with an end date on or within the specified date range. To report only on open ended absences, leave the from and to ranges blank. Press <Enter> to accept the default for end date range to select all absences.
Timestamp
-
Enter the start and end date and time range to select absence records based on absence timestamp. Enter the timestamp as (YYYYMMDDHHMMSS). YYYY=YEAR MM=MONTH DD=DAY HH=HOUR MM=MINUTE SS=SECOND. Each time an absence is entered into the system, a timestamp is created for that record to indicate the date and time it was added.
-
Minimum Units (MON TUE WED THU FRI SAT SUN TOT)
-
Enter the minimum amount of units for each day for reporting. Days with 0 minimum units will not be evaluated. For example if you enter 0 under each day of the week except Monday where you enter 5, employees will be selected solely on whether or not they have at least 5 absence units (hours or days depending on the UN/FTE/HRS prompt below) on Mondays within the specified date ranges.
-
NOTE: For an employee to have any possibility of showing up on this report, s/he must have at least one absence in the date range specified above. The units (hours/days) being evaluated are an accumulation of time, not the number of days. If an employee is absent two separate days for half a day each, this report will evaluate the employee as being absent for one day and not two.

-
Enter 'ALL' to select employees that meet all the minimum requirements. If you enter 5 under Monday and Friday, only employees who have been absent for at least five days on Monday AND five days on Friday will be selected.
