Group 0 Type 5
This deduction is a specialized deduction used to accumulate employees earning and benefits, (including EI Rebate benefits) for the calculation of an Employer paid deduction.
This deduction must be defined as a 'Benefit'. The deduction will be omitted when it is not a Benefit. Employees with this deduction not defined as a Benefit will be reported in the log of the payroll processing.
The calculation of this deduction accumulates the eligible earnings based on the I/E Earnings and Deduction list, where the deduction amount is taken directly from the Employer Share field. This method of calculation allows Employer paid amounts not currently defined as taxable benefits, if necessary. This deduction is calculated after the completion of the Income Tax, CPP and EI, thus allowing the inclusion of the EI Rebate amount.
