Payroll File Maintenance

The Payroll File Maintenance section provides several general utility functions required for the routine maintenance of the system. These functions include items such as:

• A database copy routine which allows for the sub-setting of a payroll to create a test database.

• The ability to purge the various files which build up over a period of payroll runs so that file sizes can be maintained at a reasonable level.

• File compression options which reduce file size without completely removing history information.
