The Pay Cycle Code is used to select employees for payment in a payroll calendar period. The calendar holds the cycle to be paid and this is then matched with the employee's master function lines.
NOTE: A corresponding EI table (database item 16.1) Must exist for All pay cycle codes.

Enter 'H' if an hourly pay cycle code.

Enter 'D' if the pay cycle code is a daily code.
If 'D' is selected, you must enter a response to #5 below.
Number of Hours to a Day

Enter the Number OF Hours Per Day to be used by the processing. Use of this option allows for payment in Days while satisfying the EI Requirements for Hours. the EI System will maintain All Daily Rates Converted to Hourly Based on this 'Number of Hours to a Day'. This Field is not applicable when the Pay Cycle has been set as Hours. Current Tax Period.
Current Tax Period
This field is only used in conjunction with the Federal Income Tax calculation option 2. Refer to field 'Federal Tax Calculation Option' in the Users Specific Parameters Profile to determine which tax calculation is being used on this payroll.
When Tax Calculation option 2 is being used:
The Current Tax Period should represent the number of tax related history periods, plus one, per Pay Cycle Code. This field is for reference only.
This field should be set to 1 in the first pay period of the year.
The Payroll Update will automatically increment this field when tax has been taken under this Pay Cycle Code.
Number of Salary Periods

Enter zero (Ø) and leave this field empty if an override to the Number OF Periods on this pay cycle is not required.

The Number OF Salary Periods is an override to the Number OF Periods field per pay cycle code. This value is only used in the AS OF AGE/Salary Update for calculation of the employee's annual AS OF Salary amount and for an option on the Group 3 Type 5 Life Insurance.
A zero value in this field indicates this field is not to be used for annual salary calculations.
Annual Salary Hours/Days

Enter zero (Ø) and leave this field empty if an override to the calculation of As Of Salary based on annual hours/days is not required.

Enter the number of annual hours or days, which ever is applicable for the payroll. When the As Of Salary is calculated, the employee’s hourly rate per function line will be generated then annualized based on this fields annual hours/days.
