The Employee Code is used in the calculation of Superannuation (pension) credits, according to the base hours within the pay cycle. The calculation is: (British Columbia) (Actual hours divided by Base hours) multiplied by (the maximum credit divided by the number of periods in the cycle code of the employee).
The Annual Hours Or Days is an override of Annual pension days for Alberta TRF, Saskatchewan STRP, Manitoba TRF and Ontario TPP.

When the Employee Code is to be used as a Pension Service Override on a specific pay code and will NOT be attached to employees' function lines, then the Maximum Credits may be set to zero. Under these conditions the system will use the Maximum Credits from the employee's default Employee Type code in the calculation of pension credits during Payroll Update and for the Pension Credit Recalculation process. The employee's default Employee Type code is taken from the employee's master function line. This feature would only be used when different groups of employees with a different number of maximum credits are to use the same pay code which contains a Pension Service Override employee code.
Contributor Months
The Contributor Months only applies to the BC pension reporting.
When set to '10', the Contributor Months is used by the BC pension report to adjust (for Teachers) the contributor service to reflect .833 service per month for a maximum of 10 months per year.
Not entered or a value other than 10 will not affect the contributor service.
