The Posting Additions module lets you add new job postings into the system. Each posting has a description, posting type code, requisition date, requisitioning employee number, posting date, closing date and five lines of detail. Each of the five lines contains a position, location, start date, end date and hours or FTE. Each detail line can also contain up to 10 subjects and levels. You can also enter up to four successful applicants. There are also five long comment fields provided into which you can place miscellaneous information about the posting you are creating.
You can customize the way that the posting screen works through the Screen Control Profile. You can find more information on the customization features by referring to the manual under that section.
You can also break the posting number into several segments. For example, the fist character could denote the employee category, while the next 4 could denote the school year, while the last 5 could be an auto-incrementing sequential number. Refer to the manual under section 10,1,2,33.1 for more information on posting number segmentation.
