The re-organization By Item Description provides the ability to change the item description and the group/maintenance classes on any asset numbers.
Old Description

Enter the old fixed asset description you wish to change (up to 30 characters).
From Group
-
Enter the group you wish to move the asset from.
To Group

Enter the group the assets are to be transferred to.
From Maintenance Class
-
Enter the maintenance class you want to move the assets from.
To Maintenance Class

Enter the maintenance class you want the assets transferred to.
New Description
-
Enter the new item description for the assets selected.
Preliminary/Final
-
Enter 'P' to run a preliminary report of all the asset numbers that will be changed by this process.

Enter 'F' to report and update the descriptions, group and maintenance class on the stock items selected.
