A Maintenance Class is a method of grouping like assets together for management purposes.
Maintenance Class Additions
The maintenance class should be broad enough to cover all assets of a like type, yet small enough to provide useful reports. e.g., you have 4 different types of electronic equipment. If each type you have 30 items - TV's, calculators, video recorders, and computers. To ensure that you can make the most of administrative reports you could set up the following maintenance classes:
EL1
This class covers TV's only
EL2
This class covers Calculators only
Or
S-BLDBUILDING (Supported)
S-CPT Computer Equipment (Supported)
U-BLDBUILDING (Unsupported)
U-CPTCOMPUTER EQUIPMENT (Unsupported)
