The Transfer Asset module provides the ability to transfer ownership of an asset from one location to another.
Item Number

Enter the number of the asset you wish to transfer.
Serial Number

Enter the serial number of the asset you wish to transfer. This field is bypassed if a valid asset number is entered.
Transfer From Information
Select a valid location from those displayed in the window. If only one location exists for the asset, the location will be automatically displayed.
Quantity
The quantity owned by the location will display. This quantity cannot be modified. To transfer only a partial quantity to another location use the Loans Distribution screen.
To Location

Enter the location the assets are to be transferred to.
Sub Location 1

Enter the first sub-location the assets are to be transferred to.
Sub Location 2

Enter the second sub-location the assets are to be transferred to.
Transfer
Accept the transfer.
A window will appear displaying the various files as they are updated. A comment record is created automatically for the asset indicating the location it was
Cancel
Cancel the transfer.
