The Stock File Tax Code Update examines the contents of the atrievePurchasing or atrieveWarehouse stock file and displays the unique tax codes and/or tax code combinations in use by existing stock items. These are displayed in the Tax Code Combinations Found In Stock File box at the top of the screen.
Inventoried stock items are utilized by atrieveWarehouse and non-inventoried are utilized by atrievePurchasing. Enter B to update both.

Enter a commodity code to. You can utilize the magnifying glass to invoke a commodity code lookup.
Starting Stock Number

Enter the starting stock number. You can utilize the magnifying glass to invoke a stock code lookup.
Ending Stock Number

Enter the ending stock number. You can utilize the magnifying glass to invoke a stock code lookup.
Preliminary Or Final

Enter P to process the update in test mode. This will generate a report for review. Stock items are not updated when the process is run in preliminary.

Enter F to update stock items and commit the changes to the stock file.
