The DESCRIPTION EDITOR was created to give word processing capabilities to the multi-line description fields in the TSC packages. The editor can handle character insert or overwrite mode. All arrow keys, word wrap at end of line and multiple paragraphs (multiple paragraphs are not recommended).
Start by entering the data you want and let the editor wrap any words needed to the next line. When you are finished entering all the data, press the return key to exit. To set the special editor commands, enter
<PF1> followed by the specific character for the command.
THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF EDITOR COMMANDS:
<PF1> <RETURN> OR <PF1> <ENTER>
Used to start a new paragraph on the next line. Word wrap works within paragraphs. A new paragraph will always start at the beginning of a line.
<PF1> V
View commands.
<PF1> I
Insert toggle.
<INSERT HERE>
Insert toggle (VT200 mode).
<PF1> R
Restore description. The previous description is restored.
<PF1> E
Erase description.
<PF1> <REMOVE>
Erase description (VT200 mode).
<PF1> P
Keyboard protection. This will lock your screen until you enter a password. The password will be your security password if security is on or your user name.
<RETURN> OR <ENTER> OR <PF1> F
Finish.
