To clear out your BPS files, run the program CHANGE BASE YEAR (6,2) in BPS specifying the current base year as the year you want to start the purge at and the change BAS year as the last year you wish to now have on file.
Example: Current BAS year - 1988 Change BAS year to - 1990 This will purge out 88-89 budget record files.
The following toolkit programs must then be run.
RUN SRB$BPSEXE:BUPU0A
This will purge your chart of accounts for the years specified.
RUN SRB$BPSEXE:BUPU0B
This will purge your detail budget transaction records from the file.
