Absence/Dispatch Interface Marking Process

The Absence/Dispatch Interface Marking Process will mark all absences and dispatches between a specified date range as interfaced. This is useful for sites that begin using the absence or dispatch interfaces after they have been entering absences or dispatches for some time. Because both costing modules will pick up all uninterfaced entries, this process should be used before interfacing entries for the first time.

Note: The Uninterface option will not perfectly reverse the affects of the original interface module. For example, leaves will Not have their Used amounts reversed back to their original state nor will special minimum day top up, retro or TOC benefit interface flags be removed. You should not uninterface entries before talking to atrieveERP staff about its ramifications.

Date Range

  • Enter the exact date range ((YY)YYMMDD) of the absence(s) and/or dispatch(es) that you are marking as interfaced/uninterfaced. Only absence(s)/dispatch(es) between this date range will be marked as interfaced.

Position Categories

  • Enter up to 10 category codes here. Only those absences or dispatches where the position category codes are in the specified list will be selected to marking. Leave this field blank and Enter to continue onto the next prompt. If you do not want to select records based on position category, simply do not enter any category codes.

Locations

  • Enter up to 10 location codes here. Only those absences or dispatches where the location codes are in the specified list will be selected for marking. Leave this field blank and press Enter to continue onto the next prompt. If you do not want to select records based on location, simply do not enter any location codes here.

Mark Absences/Dispatch/Both

  • Enter 'A' to mark just the absences, 'D' to mark just the dispatches, 'B' to mark both absences and dispatches.

Include Amendments

  • Enter 'Y' to mark amendments in addition to the regular absences and dispatches or 'N' if you do not want to mark amendments.

Mark Records as Interfaced/Uninterfaced

  • Enter 'I' to mark the specified absences/dispatches as interfaced or 'U' to mark the specified absences/dispatches as uninterfaced.

Employee Selection

  • Enter 'A' to run this process for All Employees or 'S' to run for Selected Employees Only.

Employee

  • If you selected 'S' in the previous field, you will be prompted to enter the exact employee number or search by employee name by selecting the magnifying glass icon.

Preliminary/Final

  • Enter 'P' to report on the selected records without marking them as interfaced/uninterfaced or enter 'F' to mark the records as either interfaced or uninterfaced. We always recommend to run this process in Preliminary before running in Final to ensure the correct absence/dispatch records are being marked as interfaced/uninterfaced.
