The Asset Change program gives you the ability to change the fixed asset information.
This change program allows you to access only master file information. If location information is to be changed, you will have to go to the 'Location Maintenance Menu' to do so.
When you rename the asset number to a new asset number, a window will appear displaying the various files as they are updated. Comment records will be created automatically for the new item and locations indicating the old asset number it was copied from.
