Enhanced Global Schedule Add

The Enhanced Global Schedule Add program will globally add a default schedule to all selected assignments. This module is a supplement to the Global Schedule Add program that would add a default AMS/PME schedule to selected assignments. The enhanced program allows specific Start, End and Break times to be included. Also, selected Positions and Locations can be be specified. The program will also calculate the amount of time being added to the schedule.

As previously, it will only add schedules to full-time employees working at one location.
This module is ideal for adding time-specific schedules (i.e. not using location times) to support staff.

There are two options for schedule addition:

  1.  One line of schedule per day including an optional break.

  2.  Two lines of schedules per day (with no break, as the break will be applied through a gap in schedule line 1's End Time and schedule line 2's Start Time.


In order for assignments to be selected, they must meet the following criteria:

  1. The assignment is current as of the selected date range.

  2. The assignment is full time. This means that the assigned hours or FTE match the Hours per week or FTE on the position code. Any assignments with hours or FTE that do not match will not be picked up in the Enhanced Global Schedule Add.

  3. The assignment has only one Position and one Location.

  4. The employee matches the other specifications as entered during the process.



As of Date Range

  • Fill in the range of dates you want the system to add schedules for. If you would like to add schedules for all assignments as of today, enter the From and To dates as today’s date.

Employee Category

  • Indicate the employee category if required. For example, if you are running the process for all support positions that are full time, you can enter the support category here.

Assigned Position

  • If you are running this process for a specific position or positions, use the binoculars to select the appropriate postion(s). Up to 10 positions may be selected at once.

Assigned Location

  • If you are running this process for a specific location or locations, use the binioculars to select the appropriate location(s). Up to 10 locations may be selected at once.

Unit Type

  • Indicate if the schedules will be in FTE or Hours.

Schedule Times Entry

  • Select 1 to enter a 1-line schedule with optional break.

  • Select 2 to enter a 2-line schedule. 

Preliminary/Final

  • Enter 'P' to run this function in preliminary mode. A preliminary run will prepare a report of all employee assignments that met the specified criteria without creating a schedule for the assignments.

  • Enter 'F' to run this function in Final mode. A final run will prepare the same report as above AND will create schedules for selected assignments.

Overwrite Employee's Schedule

  • Select N to only add schedules to those employees who do not currently have one.

  • Select Y to add new schedules for all employees that fit the selection criteria and overwrite their existing schedules.


Once the process has been submitted, you can view the reports in the Report Viewer
