The Salary Grid/Payroll Update module updates the employee function lines by taking the value in the salary grid database and replacing the current values of rate and/or hours on the function line. Function lines that contain an override salary grid (as defined in the User Specific Parameter Profile) are bypassed by this process. A summary of employees that had function lines bypassed based on an override salary grid is also generated. Contract type function lines will include a recalculation of the annual contract salary.
The annual contract salary is recalculated by removing the previous contract payments for the number of periods remaining in the contract and replacing this value based on the new annual salary.
All Lump Sum function lines are omitted from this process.
When the Process atrieveHR Salary Grid Updates field of the Users Specific Parameters Profile is active this process will also update the atrieveHR Assignment salary grid rate when applicable. The atrieveHR Assignment salary grid rate is only changed when there is a different in the salary grid rate. When this feature is used a second report #####P.LST is generated detailing the atrieveHR changes and/or errors.
This process includes the option to maintain multiple sets of stored prompts.
Name the prompt sets by defining a title up to 10 characters, with a 30-character description.
On the first prompt click the Report Defaults icon to select an existing set of prompt values. You can delete prompt sets or change the description from the Report Default icon.
NOTE: This job will run only in batch.
Use Grid Point 1 through to 12
You may load salary grid database salary and hour information from any of the twelve salary grid points. It is recommended that active salary and hour values be moved to grid point one, then loaded onto the employee's function line from grid one.
Replace Rate, Hours, or Both
The salary grid update allows you to specify if the salary rate, hours or both are to be loaded onto the function line.
Enter Deduction Code to Select

Enter a deduction code to limit this update to the employees which currently have this deduction. Suspended deductions are considered valid.
Include Terminated Employees
When you include Terminated employees, you are prompted for a date. The date entered indicates that employees Terminated prior to this date are to be excluded for the salary grid update process. This feature allows you the flexibility to keep Terminated employee's salary information current. Employees that are currently On Leave, are included in this process.
Report by Salary Grid or Employee Number

Select the default for all salary grid items in the salary grid database updated.

This prompt appears only if you entered a specific starting point in response to the previous prompt. If you select All, this prompt is not displayed.

When selection is by Employee number:

Enter 'R' to only produce a report. This will not affect the employee's function lines.

Omit Detail Reporting on Override Grids
A separate summary report listing all employees with override salary grids is included at the bottom of the report.

Enter 'Y' to omit printing a detail line for each occurrence of a function line with an override salary grid.

Sort by Employee Number or Employee Name

Enter 'N' when the rate changes should not be applied to the atrieveHR Assignment salary grid rate. The Effective Date of atrieveHR Assignments prompt will be omitted.

Employee number, name and status
Salary grid code per function line
