This function will update Employee data with the returned data from CRC authority. The returned CRC file can reside in any accessible VMS directory and with .RET as file extension. After successful processing in Final mode, it will be renamed as .CRC_DONE
In Final mode, the CRC Data file will be updated with returned data. CRC Status and date will be updated in the Hire file (if the district has defined these fields on the Hire screen). The following screen will display for this option:
Location of Returned File
Enter a valid VMS directory specification or a valid VMS logical pointing to a directory where the returned CRC Data file resides. This prompt will default to the location defined in the CRC profile. If nothing is entered, user's current directory will be the default.
Returned C.R.C. Data File Name
Enter a valid VMS file name with .RET as the file extension. This will be the returned file from CRC authority. If the process is run in Final mode, this file will be renamed to .CRC_DONE after a successful update.
After every Final run, you may want to print the report file and retain it for a time period determined by your district office.
Preliminary/Final Run
Enter 'P' to run this process in Preliminary mode. In this mode, only a report of which employees would have been updated will be prepared.
In the Final mode, employee's data and the CRC file will be updated with returned data from the CRC authority. A report of the update will also be prepared.
