User Account Management - Organization Settings (Admin Guide)
Overview
The Organization Settings page is used to configure global system settings for Atrieve Web at the organization level.
These settings define how user accounts are created, how passwords behave, and how system-level identifiers (such as Customer Number and UIC Group) are applied.
⚠️ Important:
These settings are typically configured once during initial setup by a PowerSchool administrator and should not be modified without proper review.
Access Requirements

Access to Organization Settings is restricted to PowerSchool administrator accounts (e.g., 1234SRB).

Non-admin users attempting to access this page will receive an authorization message and will not be able to make changes.

Organization Settings can also be accessed through User Account Manager by clicking the Advanced Settings button when adding or editing a user account. Only specific fields are editable within Advanced Settings, and access to this page is restricted to PowerSchool administrators.
Accessing Organization Settings

Navigate to the Atrieve Web > Security > Security Settings > Profile Menu > Organization Settings Profile
The Organization Settings page will open.
Organization Settings Fields
The following fields are available on the Organization Settings page:
User Disk
Defines the system disk where user accounts are stored.

Valid format: DISKn (Example: DISK1)

Only valid disk entries are accepted.
UIC Group
Defines the User Identification Code (UIC) group for the organization.

Must be a 4-digit numeric value (Example: 1234)
Customer Number
Identifies the customer within the system.

Validated against an existing customer list (Example: 4109)
Behavior:

If the number is valid but not found in the customer list → a warning is displayed (saving is allowed)

If the number is invalid → an error is displayed (saving is not allowed)
Username Format
Defines how usernames are generated for new user accounts.
Available options:

First Initial + Last Name

Last Name + First Initial
Case Sensitive Passwords
Determines whether passwords are case-sensitive.
Available values:

Yes
-
No
Use Email Address from HR
Determines whether user email addresses are automatically populated from the HR system.
Available values:

Yes

No
Saving and Cancelling Changes
-
Select Save to apply and store changes.
-
Select Cancel to discard any unsaved updates.
Data Storage
Organization Settings are stored in a system configuration file and are:

Persisted across sessions
-
Loaded automatically when the page is opened

Applied globally to all user account operations
