Password Additions

Password Additions allows the user to build a password based on the the system to be used.

System

  • Enter the 3-character product abbreviation identifying what software module the operator will be using:

    • List of System Environment 3-digit codes:

      • BAS – Finance

      • PRM – Human Resources

      • OPS – Payroll

      • MAR – Accounts Receivable

      • POM – Purchase Order Management

      • BPS – Budget Planning System

      • FAS – Fixed Assets

      • ATS – Automated Tendering

      • SMS – Security System

      • WOS – Work Order System

      • WIS – Warehouse Inventory System

Username/Group/Lockout

  • There are three options available:

    • Username: Enter the username being set up

    • Group: Enter the word GROUP to create a new security group.

      • Note: Group records can be created or modified when setting up security for a user in Regular Security Maintenance but only deleted by entering the keyword GROUP here. See the following section of ‘GROUP SELECTION’ for more information. This screen will change so that the next field is now asking for the Group name.

    • Lockout: Enter the word LOCKOUT to select or create a security profile that will lock out users from one or more products. See Product Lockout documentation of this manual for more information.

Group

  • Use the lookup to select from a list of groups already set up or enter a new group name.

Personal Name

  • Obsolete, leave blank.

  • Historically, this was used to add an extra layer of security for multiple users when the primary account was shared (NO LONGER BEST PRACTICE OR RECOMMENDED).

Password

  • Obsolete, leave blank.

  • Historically, this was used to add an extra layer of security for multiple users when the primary account was shared (NO LONGER BEST PRACTICE OR RECOMMENDED).

Expiry Date

  • Obsolete, leave blank.

  • Historically, this was used to add an extra layer of security for multiple users when the primary account was shared (NO LONGER BEST PRACTICE OR RECOMMENDED).

Password Changeable

  • Enter Y or N to indicate whether the operator is authorized to change their own password using the Password Change Utility.
