The Budget Manager Web Home page displays a summary of the default Selection Criteria and Year. Location,Selection Criteria and Year drop-downs may display on this page depending on the selection criteria that are set up in atrieveFinance for this user. Selecting a new option in either of the three drop-downs will trigger an automatic refresh of the data on this screen.
Selection Criteria by Username:
If GL Selection Criteria have been created in atrieveFinance and associated to a user by username, BMW will display selections for only those criteria and the available years in the Selection Criteria and Year drop-downs. If there is only one such selection criteria, no Selection Criteria choices will display on this screen, only the available year options.
Selection Criteria by Location:
If the user has no selection criteria by username, BMW will look for and display selection criteria associated with the user's location(s). If the user has an assignment, or a user override in the web Security Builder, that includes more than one location, BMW will display a Location selection drop-down. If more than one Selection Criteria is associated with that location, BMW will also display a Selection Criteria drop-down. The available years continue to display throughout the changes in location / selection criteria.
Clicking on the Print link or icon will open this page in a secondary window to allow printing of the contents without the portal graphics included. Clicking on the Help link or icon, will open the help window for this page.
Clicking on the Expand link, provides a break down of your Budget, Commitments and Expenditures. Clicking on the Balance Available link takes you to the GL Detail Screen, where the user can view even greater detail on the GL accounts in the chosen period.
If a data warehouse is not being used, all data displayed in Budget Manager is real time and as up to date as the last document processed.
