The Saskatchewan Teachers Group Life Generation/Report creates the report and export file for submission of the Teacher's group life insurance information. The report lists teacher's life insurance premiums for a range of pay periods in addition to listing school year-to-date premium amounts. The employees are reported in employee name order. The values generated from this process can be adjusted as needed through the Saskatchewan Teachers Group Life Adjustments. Adjusted Life insurance values would then be re-reported through the Saskatchewan Teachers Group Life Report. This process must be selected before selecting the Saskatchewan Teachers Group Life Adjustments or Saskatchewan Teachers Group Life Report.
This process can pull the Teacher's teaching certificate number from either the atrieveHR Certificate or from the Payroll User Defined field on the Pay screen. See field Display atrieveHR Certificate under the User Specific Parameter Profile for details on extracting the certificate number directly from atrieveHR.
The commencement record '10' is reported for all employees on the first pay period of the school year and selectively for new employees on their first life insurance submission.
This process generates a tab delimited export file containing the Teachers Group Life information that can be used for electronic submission to the Saskatchewan Teachers' Superannuation Commission. The format of the export is based on the requirements of the Superannuation Commission's Group Life Insurance Remittance Template spreadsheet, available on their web site. The export file ######.CSV, where ###### is the job number of the report run. This export file is generated at the location defined by the logical SRB$OPSWRK.
