The Staffing Notification Additions screen allows you to create new notifications. This is not the best nor the normal way of creating notifications. As mentioned above, when you change the employee's name, seniority date or status, notifications will be created automatically. If you need to create transactions manually, such as would be the case after making assignment changes, you should do this through the Staffing Notification Screen.
Employee

Enter the number of the employee you want to work with. If you do not know the employee's number enter up to 10 characters of the employee's last name and Enter. A window will open showing all employees starting with the name match closest to the portion of the name entered. Move the cursor to the selected name, and Enter. Alternatively, you can search to view a window that lets you search for an employee name by typing in a portion of the employee's last name.
Notification Number

This field will default and filled in with the next available notification number.
Notification Code

Enter the notification code that describes the type of staffing change you are making. Search to view valid notification codes. This field must be filled in.
Effective Date

Enter the date ((YY)YYMMDD) this staffing change takes affect. This date is of vital importance, as it controls what assignment information is displayed on the notification e-mail, print-out or report. This field Must be filled in.
Location Code/Status Code/Seniority Date

This field is only accessible when you have a chosen a change of location, change of status code, or change of seniority date notification code. It is the default value that is passed to the payroll department that they can either ignore, accept or over-ride to change information stored in Payroll. If you have chosen a location or status change notification, you can search to view a list of valid codes.
System Generated Comment

When notifications are created automatically by the system, this comment is filled in. This comment is displayed to the clerks in payroll when they use the Staffing Notification Processing Screen. This field can be up to four lines long.
Manually Entered Comment

This comment can be used for whatever you want. It can be up to 4 lines long and also displays to the clerks in payroll when they use the Staffing Notification Processing Screen.
Notification Destination(s)

The Notification Destination fields allow you enter up to 10 destinations per notification.
Destination Type Code

Enter the destination type code. Search to view valid destination codes. This field Must be filled in.
Status

Enter the status of the destination's notification.

Enter 'P' for pending, 'C' for completed, or 'R' for reviewed.
Destination Payroll

Enter the payroll that this employee should be paid on. Search for valid payroll ID codes. This field Must be filled in when the destination type code is 01 (payroll).
Destination User
The destination user only needs to be filled in when the destination type is 01 (payroll). The destination user is the payroll clerk who should get the notification.
Destination Employee E-Mail

The destination employee e-mail address only needs to be filled in when the destination type is 02 (employee). Enter the e-mail address of the employee.
Destination Supervisor

The destination supervisor e-mail address only needs to be filled in when the destination type is 03 (supervisor). Enter employee number of the employee's supervisor who should receive this notification. You can enter a portion of the supervisor's last name to search through the list of valid employees.
Destination Supervisor E-Mail

The destination supervisor e-mail address only needs to be filled in when the destination type is 03 (supervisor). Enter the e-mail address of the supervisor.
Destination Completed By

This field contains the username of the person who completed this notification. This field is not accessible through this screen. It is there for inquiry purposes only.
Destination Completed Time

This field contains the timestamp of when this notification was completed. This field is not accessible through this screen. It is there for inquiry purposes only.
Destination Comment

Enter the comment (up to 10 lines long) you want the recipient of this notification to view.
