Fund Table

The Fund Table provides the account numbers for the due-to and the due-from accounts for automatic interfund entries. Up to 45 interfund entries can be added.

Note: Fund accounting must be set to 'Y' in the Master Profile before this feature can be used.

G/A

  • Enter 'G' to define a GL level code as the fund code.

  • Enter 'A' to define an alias level code as the fund code.

Element ##

  • Enter the level number of the GL or alias code. GL levels must be in the range 01-12. Alias levels must be in the range 17-30. In both cases the level must have been defined in the GL (short form) account format or the alias account format.

POS

  • The program displays this element. It is the start position in the GL or alias code for the fund code.

Size

  • The program displays this element. It is the length of the fund code.

Element Name

  • The program displays the element. It is the name of the element stored in the selected account format file.

GL Suspense

  • The GL suspense account will be used for transactions if either the 'From' fund account number or 'To' fund account numbers are found to be invalid.

  • The balance of the screen allows you to define up to 30 interfund combinations. These combinations describe the from/to fund code. Related from/to account numbers are usually known as 'due to' or 'due from' accounts and are used to maintain the balances owing between funds.

FF

  • Enter the 'FROM' fund code value (e.g. 01 for fund #01). The prompt will display the length required for the fund code. (If greater than 3 characters, the screen format will not display the codes as entered, but they are stored internally as entered). This is the code which is entered in the batch code file and used as the base to identify cross fund transactions.

TF

  • Enter the 'To' fund code. The same rules apply as in the 'From' fund code. Note: When any data entry program detects a cross fund entry (i.e. The fund code in the clearing account is not the same as the target account), the program searches the interfund table for a match (FF,TF) combination. When located, the program will use the F/F account and T/F account to create balancing entries. In this way, each fund remains in balance as an integral unit.

F/F Account

  • Enter the 'From' fund interfund balance account. This account will be used to maintain the balance due to or from another fund.

T/F Account

  • Enter the 'To' fund interfund balance account. This account will be used to maintain the balance due to or from another fund.

Change G/A Line

  • Enter  or 'N' if you don't want to change the G/A line on the screen.

  • Enter 'Y' if you want to change this line.

Enter Item # To Change [##/N/P] <ENTER>

  • Enter 01 to 30 to change any of the entries. Note: The display of each entry appears incorrect if the F/F and T/F codes are longer than 2. Internally, they are stored properly. Print file BAØØØ4.DAT to see the codes in the table on a printout.
