BPS User Defined Report Copy

The USER DEFINED REPORT COPY helps speed up the process of creating user-defined reports. It is sometimes advisable to create a skeleton report which has all the common information required such as report headings and some common record or field definitions. You can then use the skeleton report to copy that report format from the report number as entered to a report number not currently in use in the system. The system will prompt you for an existing report number and then a new report number. Once copied, you can then make changes to the new report number through the changes options as defined above. This process can also be used to re-use report numbers which had previously been deleted from the system thus opening up space for new report numbers to be added to the system. When a report becomes obsolete, it is advisable to delete that report from the system. The choosing of the delete option will completely delete the report parameters from the library of user-defined reports.

 

When you select this option, it will display a menu of all the reports. This menu also supports the search function described in the change report parameters section. Copying reports from one category to another category is also supported.
