The Daily Time Profile module tailors the Daily Time Entry process to individual needs. It is mandatory that this profile be set-up when DTE is to be used.
Grid Point 1 Effective Date
Leave fields 1 through 4 and 7 through 14 empty when only grid point 1 salary rate should be used.
-
Enter a date per grid point when the salary rate should become effective. These dates per grid point allow a salary increase to be defined under an alternate grid point in the salary grid database and the date when the increase will be effective. The Daily Time Sheet Entry process will shift to the alternate salary grid rate when the day of the week date matches the effective date.
These effective dates will display on the Salary Grid database screens and reports as well as the Salary Grid Adjustment process as a reference.
Salary Grid Entry on Timesheets
-
Enter 'Y' to be prompted for a salary grid during Time Entry and Time Edit.
-
Enter 'N' to omit the prompt for salary grids in Time Entry and Time Edit.
Compress Date on Storage Banks
-
Enter 'Y' to have the storage bank accrual entries compressed regardless of date during the payroll update. When DTE is used, entries are created daily and thus the storage bank accrual records will also be created daily. Turning this feature on will compress the accrual entries by disregarding dates.
-
Enter 'N' to omit the compress of storage bank accrual records.
DTE Default Pay Rate Setting
-
Enter 'N' when this payroll is not using the Daily Time Entry process
The Daily Time Entry (DTE), by default uses the pay rates defined in the salary grid database instead of the rates from the employee function lines. This feature allows for multiple pay rates with various effective dates to be utilized. -
Enter 'S' to indicate the default pay rate setting for DTE is from the salary grids.
-
Enter 'F' to indicate the default pay rate setting for DTE is from the employee's function line.
The Yes/No field of "Override DTE Rate Default" per salary grid in the database allows salary grids to be defined to override this pay rate setting.
