The BC Pension Report Record Changes allows changes to be made to all the entries generated by running the BC Pension Plan Report. You can delete or add pension records for employees within this payroll as necessary. The service event field allows you to define the type of pension record being reported as well as allowing for multiple pension records to be reported per employee as needed.
Enter Pension Reporting Year

Enter the year the pension report is generated for. The BC Pension files are maintained per pension year. All pension files will be created using the pension year in the file name, allowing for unique files per year.
Pension for Teacher or Municipal

Enter 'T' to make changes to the pension file created for a teacher's pension.

Enter 'M' to make changes to the pension file created for a municipal pension.
Enter Pension Deduction Code

Enter the pension deduction code entered during the creation of the pension report. The pension deduction entered during the creation of the pension report is used in determining the pension file name. This allows a payroll to report and maintain pension information for multiple pension deduction at the same time.

Enter the employee number of the employee you want to adjust. Use look-up to select the employee by name.

You can add any valid employee to the pension work file, defining all pension fields to be reported.

Changes are not applicable for Municipal Pension as 04GENERL is the only code.

For Teacher pension, enter 05GE10MO or 05GE12MO or Use look-up for selection.
Contributory Service

Enter the contributory service to be reported. The total number ones entered under Contributory Months must equal the Contributory Service. During the generation of the Global Pension report, employees Contributory Months will be amalgamated to ensure the same Contributory Month is not counted more than once on the employee's total Contributory Service.

Enter the employee's Effective End date to define the date range applicable to the employee's service event record.

Enter the employee's Effective End date to define the date range applicable to the employee's service event record.
Service Event Code

Enter the service event code applicable to the pension record. Use look-up for a list of default service event codes. This field will accept any value as a service event code, please refer to the Pension Plan Instructions for Employers for the correct service event codes. The default pension service event is RG.
Select the service event of R+ to indicate this record represents 35+ years of service. The record will be submitted to the pension board with a service event of RG but this marks this record to be held separate from another regular RG pension records for the same employee.
