Salaries and Salary Grid Information
With the OrganizationEmployment object, the MOE is requesting salary and salary grid information be included. The extract will take the information from HR since it contains historical salary data.
There is a process in HR that can be run to initially load salary data into HR from Payroll. To keep HR updated, payroll should be pushing salary updates to HR when they run their grid increment processes.

Activating the GL and Salary Assignment Module screens

Go to HR Setup & Maintenance > Profiles > Screen Control Profile > Changes > Screen Code: Assignment Screen. Select the type as appropriate for educator assignments.

On the screen that is displayed, set the prompts as follows:

Set to 'Y' to multiply the grid rate by the FTE for the correct salary. This works well for Fixed Salaried employees. For hourly paid employees, this field should be set to 'N'. |

Set this to 'Y' on all fixed salaried payrolls. On hourly payrolls, the rate can come from the position code or salary grid (if they exist for hourly payrolls) |
Initialize/Set the current salary grid information from payroll
Update position codes with grid ranges on the Payroll Information tab. This will ensure the correct grids update the correct assignments.
If you are not already using salary grids in HR, navigate to Assignments > Utilities > HR-Payroll Salary Grid Comparison Process.
This process initializes the current Assignment Salary screen by downloading the current salary grid information from Payroll onto the Assignment.
If running this for the first time, it is recommended to have a PowerSchool support or services team member walk through this with you. Of particular importance, ensure you select ‘A’ or ‘*’ under Function Line to use so the system updates the correct assignment with the correct function line if employees have multiple function lines.
