LAPP APEX Merge Process

The LAPP APEX Merge Process allows you to merge the LAPP APEX report results from multiple payrolls into one report while maintaining the details of the entries per payroll. This process also generates a combine electronic file for submission to the pension board. This process requires that the LAPP APEX pension files for the year for all applicable payrolls be generated already. Only information generated for the same year may be merged.

All records are generated under the file named SRB$OPSWRK:UTFX%%%%YYYYMMDD###.TXT, where %%%% is your employer number, YYYYMMDD is the current date and ### is an auto incrementing number per day. This file is used to submit to LAPP.

The new merged export file UTFX%%%YYYYMMDD0##.PEN is generated in the work directory of the payroll where the merge is run from.

For complete details on the fields and contents of the UTF file, refer to the LAPP APEX Generation documentation.
