Report Headings Profile
The Report Headings Profile program will allow you to define your own report headings and the number of lines to print on each page of the Public bodies Report. A unique heading can be defined for the Supplier segment of the report and another for the Employee portion.
The first time you run this program, you will see the default heading layout as shown above. The top half of the screen is where the heading, row, and columns are entered. The bottom half shows where each heading will appear on the report.
The following 3 prompts must be filled in for each heading line:
Heading Text
- Enter the text to appear on the report.
Three keywords may be specified.
- 'Date' Prints the current date
- 'Page' Prints the page number on each page
- 'Blank' Prints additional blank lines
Row
- Enter the report line number to print the heading text.
Column
This prompt is the horizontal position to print the heading text. Entering Ø will calculate the column to center the field.
The headings and number of lines per page may be altered through the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.
Accept | Enter 'A' to accept the report layout and exit the program. |
CAncel | Enter 'C' to cancel any changes you have made to the report layout and exit the program. |
Insert# | Enter 'I' to insert a new heading (if you enter 'I' alone) or insert a new heading at any existing heading number (if you enter I# where the # is, is the heading number you want to insert at). |
Modify# | Enter 'M#' to modify an existing heading. This allows you to modify any existing heading, row or column. |
Delete# | Enter 'D#' to delete any existing heading line. |
Lines Per Page | Enter 'L' to change the number of lines printed on each page of the report (any positive number between 8 and 999). |
Other Heading | Enter 'O' to add an employee heading that is different from the supplier heading. If only one heading is defined, it will be used for both parts of the report. |
Heading
- Enter up to 107 characters. A blank at this field will cancel the insertion and return you to the main prompt.
Row
- Enter the line number the heading will print on (from 1 to 7).
Column
- Enter the start column for the heading (from 1 to 132). If you enter a 'Ø' or a blank at this field, the program will center the heading and the appropriate starting column will appear in this field.
